Neil Grimshaw was employed at The Kabin as a paper boy. When Eddie Yeats returned a load of newspapers to Mavis Riley, she realised that he had been throwing them away instead of delivering them. Mavis and Eddie confronted Neil together - he denied their claims and resigned. When the rest of the paper boys didn't turn up at The Kabin for their next round, Eddie accused Neil of leaning on them. Eddie then threatened Neil and told him to apologise to Mavis. Neil did in fact apologise, and Mavis reinstated him.

Neil was played by Michael Le Vell, nearly three years before returning to play Kevin Webster.
