Nelson Fletcher appeared in Coronation Street in May 1990 as a Ticket Collector at Manchester's Victoria Station.
He was a vocalist with the Hogline soul band and worked as a DJ. He then trained as an actor and also appeared in Me! I'm Afraid of Virginia Woolf, The Racing Game, The Bill, Prime Suspect 2, Cracker, Outside Edge, Cardiac Arrest, Out of the Blue and City Central.
Film work includes If Only, Rita Sue & Bob Too and Brothers & Sisters.
On stage, he appeared in a one-man show Mr Sidney which was based on an idea of Nelson's.
