Ozzie Yue was born "Austin J. Yue" in 1947. Raised in Liverpool, he attended the same school as Paul McCartney and George Harrison although a couple of years below them. In October 1963, after working for a time as an apprentice electrician, he and some friends formed the Merseybeat group “The Hideaways” who appeared at the legendary Cavern Club on more than 250 occasions.
He later played in the group “Supercharge” but also branched out into acting after having appeared in various local stage productions in his teens. He appeared as an extra in many Granada Television productions and it was for this latter company that he play the role of Mr Ho in the Cyril's Singing episode of the Coronation Street spin-off The Brothers McGregor in April 1986. He has gone on to play more substantial roles in programmes such as Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Father Ted, Lovejoy and Silent Witness as well as films such as Lara Croft:Tomb Raider and Nuns on the Run.
