The Paramedic and her colleague arrived at 8 Coronation Street in June 2016 in response to an emergency call placed by David Platt. His sister Sarah Platt had undergone a mental breakdown, unable to deal with the shock of the murder of Callum Logan the previous September and the subsequent hiding of his body to protect his killer, Kylie Platt. Convinced that Callum was still alive and after her, she had barricaded herself inside the house and the family had had to force their way in. The paramedic spoke gently to her and asked to approach her. She gained Sarah's confidence and the young woman asked them to take her to a place of safety. Gail Platt wanted to go with her daughter but Sarah had lost all trust in her family and the paramedic instead suggested that Gail get together some of her things and bring them along to Weatherfield General instead.

In March 2018 she attended a call-out to the Legacy Reach Paper Mill where Pat Phelan had fallen into a shaft of wet concrete within the building works there where he had been employed. The previous October, when the site had been derelict, Phelan had murdered Andy Carver and Harvey McArdle within the rotting buildings and dumped their bodies in the old mill pond. Hearing that part of the redevelopment involved the draining of that same pond, he went back there at night to retrieve the corpses and encase them within the hardening concrete but fell in himself. He was rescued by Eileen Grimshaw and Tim Metcalfe and put in an ambulance where the paramedic looked at his vital signs, including blood pressure, whilst telling him to keep calm, and informing Eileen that her partner had been lucky. The paramedic accompanied the ambulance back to Weatherfield General while Eileen sat in the back trying to find out from Phelan why he had been working there at night in the first place.
