Patrick Barr (born 13th February 1908 in Akola, British India; died 29th August 1985 in Wandsworth, London) appeared on Coronation Street in November 1973 as Judge Carson, who heard the case against Fairclough and Langton over non-payment of a VAT bill.

Educated at Radley and Trinity College in Oxford, he worked as an engineer before taking up the acting profession at the age of twenty-five.

His other television credits included roles in The Three Hostages, The Teckman Biography, Portrait of Alison, Golden Girl, Doctor Who, Disneyland, Kate, Crown Court, The Molly Wopsies, The Mackinnons and Telford's Change.

Film roles included The Dam Busters, Billy Liar, The Satanic Rites of Dracula (with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee) and the James Bond film Octopussy.

On stage, he appeared in productions of While Parents Sleep, The Country Wife, The Rossiters, Trouble in the House, The Shadow of Doubt, Roar Like a Dove, Measure for Measure, Richard III, Hamlet, The Tempest, The Winslow Boy, Dead Easy, Bill Kenwright's The Tilted Scales, Spider's Web, Little Women and The Linden Tree.
