Peter Clegg is the only son of Gordon and Caroline Clegg and the grandson of Betty Williams. He was born in 1985 and lived in London. In 1995 he attended his grandmother's wedding to Billy Williams along with his parents.

Peter had never been to visit Betty in Weatherfield. When she passed away in 2012, only his father attended the funeral, whereas Peter and his mother Caroline were absent for unknown reasons.
