Peter Faulkner appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in April 1986 as Tony Arrowsmith, whose late mother Ada had left Hilda Ogden some pieces of furniture in her will; and he returned to the programme in February 1998 as Professor Barker, who verified Roy Cropper's Roman finds on the Red Rec.
Born in Liverpool, he trained to be a Social Worker after leaving school but was spotted through a college production of Under Milk Wood and was invited to work as a professional actor at the Library Theatre, Manchester. Peter has also been a Celebrant for the past few years.
His other credits include roles in Studio, Travelling Man, All Creatures Great and Small, Cracker, Where the Heart Is, Hollyoaks: Movin' On and the films Chicago 70 and Testimony. On stage he has appeared in productions of She Stoops to Conquer, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui and Dinner at Mirandolina's.
