The Police Constable took a statement from Alec Gilroy when he was taken to Weatherfield General after being mugged in Daisy Street. Alec could only give a vague description of his attacker as he was hit from behind. Alec outlined the mugger's appearance as white and "slightly above medium" in height - a retort to the officer's muttering of "short" when Alec said the mugger was about his height. The attacker had stolen Alec's briefcase containing £2334, as he had been on his way to the bank to deposit the Rovers' weekend takings and payments for his club artistes when the mugging occurred.
