The unnamed Porter worked at the Imperial Hotel in the Lake District where Alma Halliwell went for a final trip in June 2001 before she succumbed to cancer. He recognised Alma as he helped her take her bags from the car from a previous trip when she and Mike Baldwin had been on their honeymoon and enquired if "Mr Baldwin" was expected too. She replied no, not knowing that Mike would indeed rush to make the trip to join her there when he found out that his beloved ex-wife was dying.
