The Prison Officer was in charge of the visiting room at Redford Prison when Becky McDonald visited Tracy Barlow in May 2010. Tracy had sent Becky a visitor's order, ostensibly to discuss Becky and Steve McDonald's impending application to adopt Amy Barlow, but Tracy's real reason was to provoke a fight with Becky and blacken her name. The ruse worked and Becky launched herself at Tracy when she made cruel remarks about not being able to conceive a child herself. The Officer shouted for Becky to be taken outside as her colleagues jumped into the fray and separated the two women.
