The unnamed Receptionist manned the front desk in the Rosamund Street Medical Centre and was on duty when Jenny Bradley came in with Jack Webster. After collecting him from his child minder, she noticed a rash on his neck and panicked beyond a reasonable level, telling a puzzled Leanne Tilsley that she was going to take him to Weatherfield General. Leanne suggested she try the medical centre instead. Jenny was grateful for the suggestion but after a half-hour wait she told the receptionist that the delay was unreasonable and she was going to take him to the hospital after all. The lady told her to wait and promised to see what she could do. Jenny was brought forward in the queue and Jack was declared to be fine.
