Redford Prison houses female offenders, either on remand or serving full custodial sentences, and is located within the Manchester area.

Deirdre Rachid was sent to Redford Prison when wrongfully convicted of fraud in 1998 and shared a cell with Jackie Dobbs. A few weeks later, Deirdre was proved innocent with all charges against her withdrawn, then released.

Sunita Alahan was sent to the prison in 2004, framed by Maya Sharma for bigamy; she had married multiple men in her name as part of her revenge campaign after Dev dumped her for Sunita.

Angela Harris was sent to the prison in 2005 for perverting the course of justice. She had witnessed her husband Tommy's murder - by their daughter Katy, and confessed to protect her daughter. When Katy committed suicide after writing a note confessing everything, the charges were downgraded but Angela remained in prison.

Tracy Barlow was sent here in 2007 for the murder of Charlie Stubbs, while awaiting trial; she was found guilty and sentenced to fifteen years in prison. In 2010, it transpired a forensics officer who worked on Tracy's case had falsified his qualifications, putting a question mark over all the cases he worked on. In light of this, she successfully appealed and was released.

In 2010 Gail McIntyre was sent here for "killing" her husband Joe McIntyre, who in reality accidentally killed himself while trying to fake his own death in Lake Windermere to escape his debts. Gail shared a cell with Lyn Fulwood and later, former neighbour Tracy Barlow. Gail found a trace of comfort in the familiarity of having Tracy around, and the two seemed to become friends. But secretly, Tracy had made a deal with the police to get a reduced sentence if she successfully got a confession out of Gail. Despite Tracy's efforts, the confession never came and Gail was found not guilty of murder and released. Her machinations became common knowledge to the other inmates, and because of Gail's good reputation in the prison, Tracy was rewarded with a beating.

Kirsty Soames was sent here in 2013 for lying about Tyrone Dobbs abusing her - it was actually the other way around. By 2014 she had been released.
