Sally's Hardware (formerly D & S Hardware) was a shop located at 18 Victoria Street, owned by Sally Webster. It was the first shop to occupy the unit, built as part of Duggie Ferguson's Victoria Street redevelopment scheme.

Sally and her boyfriend Danny Hargreaves opened the shop in April 2000, renting one of the units from Duggie. They were dismayed when the rent was increased that October. When the couple split in April 2001 after Sally confessed her one-night stand with her ex-husband Kevin, she bought Danny out and he left the area.

2002: The shop meets an unfortunate end

Sally took Jason Grimshaw on as an assistant, who crudely painted over the shop's sign to change the name, but the financial issues the shop was suffering only grew worse. Duggie died in February 2002 and the new unit owners charged even higher rent. By April 2002 Sally had to let Jason go amid drastic cutbacks. It was to no avail, and Sally made plans to close the shop down permanently and sell all the stock to Phil Rodgers of Weatherfield Hardware Supplies. One night, a radio which Jason hadn't fixed properly blew a fuse and the flames spread to the surrounding stock, causing a huge fire. Martin and David Platt were pulled out of the flat above unhurt bar some smoke inhalation, but the shop was completely gutted. The unit stood vacant until Diggory Compton opened his bakery there in May 2005.
