Sally Edwards appeared on Coronation Street as Dr McLean in May 1987, attending to Alf Roberts after he had suffered a minor heart attack.
She trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama and has been credited for roles in A Kind of Loving, The Practice, Bulman, Dramarama, Out of the Blue, Wycliffe, London Bridge, Mersey Beat, The Bill, Holby City, Wire in the Blood, Doctors, Silent Witness, Casualty and Holby Blue. On stage she has appeared in productions including Crystal Clear, Three Sisters, Gaslight, Macbeth, Pericles, Arsenic and Old Lace, Broken Glass, Hayfever, Hedda Gabler and Eternal Love.
