Sally Dynevor

Sally Dynevor, MBE (born 30th May 1963 in Middleton) is a British actress who has played Sally Metcalfe in Coronation Street since 1986. Sally trained at the Mountview Theatre School in London and began her career touring with the Metal Mickey Road Show and then joined a music hall company touring Canada and the United States of America. In 1985 she made her television debut as a 16-year old heroin addict in Juliet Bravo followed up by a part in the ITV series The Practice. Her theatre work includes panto at the Oldham Coliseum and fringe theatre in London.

Sally is married to Emmerdale scriptwriter Tim Dynevor and they have one son and two daughters named Samuel, Harriet and Phoebe Dynevor. She is the daughter-in-law of the late Gerard Dynevor who directed fourteen episodes of Coronation Street between January 1963 and September 1964.
