Selva Rasalingam (born in London) appeared on Coronation Street as a Consultant at Weatherfield General. In October 2007 he attended Jason Grimshaw after he had fallen from the unstable balcony atop the Builder's Yard; and in August 2011 he broke the news to Chris Gray that he was suffering from a brain tumour.
Trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, his credits include roles in Bad Girls, Murder in Mind, Holby City, Dream Team, The Bill, Torchwood, Waking the Dead, Law & Order: UK, Hustle, The Borgias, Doctor Who, Luther and Casualty. On film he has appeared in Carry on Columbus, Man About Dog, I am Slave, The Devil's Double and Skyfall.
His theatre credits include productions of The Play's the Thing, Twelfth Night, The Winter's Tale, Merlin, Mary Stuart, Eden's Empire, On the Record and The Nightmares of Carlos Fuentes.
