Sherry Ormerod played two recurring parts on Coronation Street; firstly Sally Webster's mouthy friend (and Curly Watts's reluctant love interest) Lois Fairhurst from October to December 1986 and then Baldwin's Casuals worker Marge Butler from August 1989 to February 1990.

In June 2011, Sherry returned for a one-off appearance as Sheila, who was interviewed by Steve McDonald for a job at the Rovers.

On television she has also appeared in Heartbeat, Last of the Summer Wine and Life on Mars while in the theatre she has played roles in various acclaimed productions at the Oldham Coliseum including Equus and The Dark Side of Daft: My Mad Grandad.
