The Solicitor was acting on behalf of Becky Granger and present in October 2008 when she was being formally interviewed at Weatherfield Police Station by DC Hooch and DC Merrick - primarily on a charge of assault - which took place during her night of rampage earlier in the month.
Following the questioning, Becky was led out and the Custody Sergeant read out the full list of charges. The solicitor advised Becky and Roy Cropper, who had turned up for moral support, that unless she could prove that she wasn't there at the time, it would be better to plead guilty to all of the charges and get a reduced sentence.
