Born in Bradford on 25th May 1944, Stephanie Turner has an acting career stretching over five decades. Her most important television roles have both been in Northern police procedural dramas. She appeared as WPC Howarth of Z Cars in the early 1970s and between 1980 and 1982 she appeared as Inspector Jean Darblay, the principal character in the first three series of Juliet Bravo. In Coronation Street she played bagpipe girl Marion in 1967 and Shirley Walton, a girlfriend of Ray Langton, in 1968.
