Stephen Cartwright appeared on Coronation Street in both August and November 1962 as Geoffrey Simpson, an old acquaintance of Ken Barlow from their student days at Manchester University.
His other television credits include roles in Shadow Squad, The Army Game, Biggles and Bulldog Breed, along with the regular part of Gregory Wilson in Knight Errant Limited, a Granada Television series that ran from 1959 to 1961 which featured many Coronation Street alumni, both in front and behind the cameras.
On stage, he appeared in a production of Welcome Little Stranger for the Jack Rose Repertory Players.
