Steve Bennett (born 1959) appeared in two different roles in Coronation Street: in October 2012 he played a Licensing Officer who investigated a tip-off that alcohol was being served in Roy's Rolls and in April 2015 he returned as a Landlord of a pub who refused Sean Tully and Billy Mayhew a room as they were gay.
Steve trained at trained at R.A.D.A. and has also appeared in The Bill, Agatha Christie: Poirot, Mile High, Casualty, Doc Martin and Broadchurch.
His stage roles include The Deep Blue Sea, Far From the Madding Crowd, Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Great Expectations, Bouncers, Harry in the Moonlight, Funny Peculiar in the West End and two tours of Kipling's The Man Who Would Be King.
He also has writing and directing credits for the stage including Cider With Rosie and Through The Wardrobe.
