Steve Frost

Steve November (born 12th September 1972) was - under the name of Steve Frost - Producer of Coronation Street from February 2006 until May 2008.

Taking over from Tony Wood, storylines Steve oversaw included Tracy Barlow murdering Charlie Stubbs, Leanne Battersby's prostitution, Casey Carswell's obsession with the Peacocks, David Platt going off the rails, Sean Tully being a sperm donor for Violet Wilson, unknown sons for both Hayley Cropper and Michelle Connor, and love triangles such as that between Liam, Carla and Maria.

During his time as producer, Steve introduced characters such as the Connor, Morton and Mason families, John Stape, Marcus Dent, Tony Gordon, Tina McIntyre, Joe McIntyre, Julie Carp, Graeme Proctor, Natasha Blakeman and Ted Page; as well as bringing back Bill Webster and Becky Granger; and guest returns for Maureen Webster, Denise Osbourne, Stephen Reid and Jim McDonald.

Steve was replaced as producer by Kim Crowther.

Prior to working on Coronation Street, Steve had been producer of Emmerdale from 2001 to 2004, and The Royal in 2006. On screen, Steve appeared in an episode of Drop the Dead Donkey and was a judge on Soapstars. Early in his career he worked on Brookside and Hollyoaks.

Since 2009 Steve has been the Executive Producer of Emmerdale. He is also ITV's Head of Continuing Drama, and as such still oversees Coronation Street - working between the producers and ITV Commissions.

Steve changed his surname from Frost to November in October 2009 to match that of his wife and stepdaughter. He explained "it was easier for one person to change their name, than two people."
