Stewart Howson appeared in two roles in Coronation Street: as the Photographer at the first wedding of Ken Barlow and Deirdre Langton in July 1981 and as Newspaper Reporter for the Weatherfield Gazette in June 1990.
He has also appeared in Emmerdale Farm, Out of the Blue, Badger, Trial & Retribution, Harold Shipman: Doctor Death, Fat Friends, The Bill, Doctors, Steel River Blues, The Bill, Silent Witness, Byker Grove and Wolfblood.
Film roles include appearances in Love Actually, Collusion and Thunderbirds.
On stage he appeared in Up 'N' under at the Fortune Theatre while on radio he has been heard in Festival and The Saturday Play.
He is also a playwright with many productions to his credit including Are We In Here?, Behind Yon Hill, Betty's Mirror, Blue Skies, Country Voices, Fast Woman, Ocean's Five and a Half, On Your Bike Quay Moments (In A Relationship), Rallying Round, Sherlock Holmes And the Tiger Of San Pedro, Staying Here?, Tartuffe , These Things Do Happen as well as dramatisations of A Christmas Carol, Great Expectations, Mary Barton and The Old Curiosity Shop.
