Terence Maynard

Terence Maynard (born 7th January 1969 in Liverpool), is an actor who played the role of Tony Stewart on Coronation Street from 2014 to 2015, when the character was reintroduced by producer Stuart Blackburn. (The role was previously portrayed by Alan Igbon in 2003).

Brought up in Nantwich, Cheshire, he showed a natural gift in dancing at a young age and was encouraged by his family to attend dance classes. He developed an interest in performing and studied at the Guildford School of Acting, graduating in 1991.

As a jobbing actor, Terence found his first big break in 1998, appearing in the comedy-drama Roger, Roger. His numerous television credits include roles in Waking the Dead, EastEnders, The Crouches, Judge John Deed, Doctors, Silent Witness, The Bill, Holby City, Young Dracula, That Mitchell and Webb Look, Primeval, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Casualty, DCI Banks, Merlin and Spy. He also appeared in a West End stage production of Chicago.

Maynard supports Liverpool F.C.
