Lad from CS

The Lad from Coronation Street (or to give it its full title Ena Sharples presents the Lad from Coronation Street) was an LP of organ music released on Friday 5th February 1971 to tie in with the conclusion of the storyline featuring Ena helping talented musician Tony Parsons gain a place at a music college (his final two episodes were shown the following week).

David Hill, who played the part and whose face appeared on the front cover, was not an actor but instead as a first year boarder studying piano, organ, and violin at Manchester's Chethams School of music. The record was released on the Granada Television label.
