Timothy Lancaster West CBE (born 20th October 1934 in Bradford, Yorkshire) is an actor with many prominent parts to his name. On Coronation Street he played Eric Babbage, a rich retiree who made a brief appearance in February 2013.
A year later he joined the soap EastEnders as Stan Carter before leaving the role in 2015.
West is married to actress Prunella Scales, who appeared in Coronation Street as bus conductress Eileen Hughes in early 1961.
