Tony Boncza (born in London) appeared on Coronation Street as a Salesman who showed Stan and Hilda Ogden round a showhouse on the River Park Estate in December 1981.

Originally trained as a journalist, his career changed direction when he spent three seasons with the National Youth Theatre. His other on-screen credits include roles in Dick Turpin, Strangers, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, EastEnders, Hotel Babylon, Doctors, Londynczycy, The Sarah Jane Adventures along with the films Night Train to Murder and Empire of the Sun.

A co-founder of Theatre West in the early 1990s, other theatre roles include productions of The Crucible, The Merchant of Venice, The Cherry Orchard, Racing Demon, Lady Windermere's Fan, Macbeth, Barbarians, Death of a Salesman, To Kill a Mockingbird, Boncza & Lumley - Back By Popular Demand, Yes Prime Minister, The Odd Couple and The Mousetrap.
