Trevor Michael Adams (born 19th May 1946 in Edmonton, Middlesex; died 15th December 2000 in North Walsham, Norfolk) appeared on Coronation Street in June 1972 as Giles Platting, an unrequited love of Ray Langton's girlfriend, Sue Silcock.

He graduated from RADA in 1967 and was a member of the National Youth Theatre.

His television credits included roles in Z Cars, Honey Lane, Softly Softly: Task Force, And Mother Makes Three, Dixon of Dock Green, Public Eye, Crown Court, How's Your Father?, Village Hall, Fawlty Towers, The New Avengers and The Professionals. He was best known for the part of the ultra-enthusiastic Tony Webster in The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin.

Film roles include Julius Caesar, Groupie Girl and Private Road.

On stage, he appeared in productions of King Lear, As You Like It, Doctor Faustus, Troilus and Cressida and Much Ado About Nothing for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

He gave up acting in 1982 and retrained as a solicitor.
