Hello readers. I'm an Administrator here at Corriepedia so if you've any queries about the site, post them on my talk page and I'll get back to you asap.
I've always been interested in TV shows with long histories, and there's a particular fascination with knowing that what you see on screen now is the the same thing viewers saw decades ago, whether it's a character or a building, and being able to see them progress over time from then to now. Corrie's a special case because in the UK you grow up with it. I vaguely remember the mid-1990s but didn't start watching properly until 1998, with the Deirdre Rachid trial storyline. Great stuff.
A couple of years ago I decided to buy the three Network DVD boxsets, getting to see loads of great characters for the first time and putting the current show into context. It was fun seeing it all. When I came onto Wikia and saw no Corrie Wiki, I put in a request for one. Suddenly I was the Administrator and I had to brush up on the show's history. Suffice to say I didn't quite know what I was letting myself in for! Oh well, it's two years later and they haven't stripped me of my Admin position, so we must be doing something right.
