Weatherfield Estates

Weatherfield Estates was the lease-holder on Jim's Cafe and the flat above. In April 1991, the company raised the property's rent from £225 to £900 a month, effectively putting the cafe out of business. As a favour to the business's owners Alma Sedgewick and Gail Tilsley, Mike Baldwin haggled Weatherfield Estates down to £600 before buying the lease outright.
