William Lucas (born "William Thomas Clucas" on 14th April 1925 in Manchester, died 8th July 2016 in London) appeared on Coronation Street in two different roles: firstly between May and June 1971 as Mark Brittain Warehouse personnel manager Dennis Maxwell; and he returned to the programme in May 1996 as Judge Parrish, who passed sentence on Steve & Vicky McDonald and Malcolm Fox.

His other credits included roles in Portrait of Alison, The Strange World of Planet X, The Crime of the Century, The Royalty, Champion Road, Solo for Canary, The Infamous John Friend, No Hiding Place, The Days of Vengeance, Flower of Evil, Curtain of Fear, Z Cars, Public Eye, The Prior Commitment, Crown Court, The Spoils of War, Doctor Who, EastEnders, Doctors and The Bill. He also appeared in the regular role of Dr. James Gordon in The Adventures of Black Beauty from 1972 to 1974 and its sequel The New Adventures of Black Beauty from 1990 to 1992, and appeared as Stanley Webb in Eldorado from 1992 to 1993.

On stage, he appeared in productions of The Dancing Girl, The Witch of Edmonton, Heartbreat House, The Rivals, Ring of Jackals, Uncle Vanya, Beeston Craig, An Inspector Calls, Don't Misunderstand Me, Bill Kenwright's A Touch of Danger and Artist Descending a Staircase.
